Day-To-Day Itinerary
Day 01: TBA - Beijing Upon arrival in Beijing, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. As the capital of China, Beijing has a long history with an abundance of historical and cultural heritage-you cannot tear yourself away! The rest of the day is free at your own leisure. Day 02: Beijing (B+L+D) Start your Beijing exploration with first visit to the largest public square in the world: Tiananmen Square. Next, stroll through the largest and the best preserved Imperial Palace in the world: the Forbidden City. In the afternoon, you will take a short drive to the Temple of Heaven, which was built specifically for worship of heaven and prayers for good harvests during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Enjoy a Beijing Duck Dinner tonight.
Day 03: Beijing (B+L) After breakfast, drive about one hour to Badaling Great Wall, China's most spectacular sight extending more than 3,700 miles across China and most often visited for China tour. It is one of the best preserved sections and the highest point of the Great Wall.After lunch you also visit one of the Mind Tombs. Ming Tombs are the general names for the mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), located 50 kilometers north from Beijing City. They were fully recognized by UNESCO's World Heritage Committee in 2000.
Day 04: Beijing - Lhasa (B+L+D) Continue to explore the ancient city including the Hutong Trishaw tour in the morning, and then to the exquisite Summer Palace, which was listed as UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage in 1998. With its elegant overall arrangement, magnificent buildings and attractive scenery, the Summer Palace is the most splendid imperial garden in China built in 1750. After dinner, you will drive to the train station to take the soft sleeper train to Lhasa - the "Roof of the World" and the "Third Pole of the Globe".Lhasa offers breathtaking monastery sights, Tibetan Buddhist Culture, colorful ethnic minority custom, which should not be missed! Day 06: Lhasa Upon your arrival in Lhasa, you will be warmly welcomed by the tour guide and transferred to the hotel. After checking in the hotel, rest in the afternoon to get adapted to the high altitude.
Day 07: Lhasa (B+L) An extraordinary day to experience the unique atmosphere of this holy land. Your visit today will include Potala Palace, the symbol of Tibet, which functioned as the traditional seat of the Tibetan government and the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas, and the Sera Monastery. As the last of the three principal Yellow Sect monasteries to be built in Lhasa, Sera is an important spiritual center for Buddhist monks. Later you also have a chance to pay a visit Tibetan Family. For dinner time, you will be entertained with the marvelous Tibetan Dance and Song Show. Day 08: Lhasa (B+L) Another day to absorb the unique atmosphere of Lhasa: we will bring you to the spiritual center of Tibetan Buddhism - Jokhang Temple, and enjoy strolling along the Barkhor Street, where you can buy the handicrafts which are rare to be seen elsewhere in the world from the local Tibetan vendors. After lunch, you will also pay a visit to Drepung Monastery, the largest and the most powerful of the three major Yellow Sect monasteries in Lhasa.
Day 09: Lhasa - Xian (B) Feel free at leisure until be met at the lobby of the hotel and transferred to the airport to Xi'an. Upon arrival in Xi'an in the afternoon, you are met and warmly welcomed by our guide and drive to the downtown hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.
Day 10: Xian (B+L) Enjoy a magnificent day of sightseeing what has been called the 8th Wonder of the World --the Terra Cotta Soldiers Museum, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Altogether over 7,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and even weapons have been unearthed there. After lunch, visit the Bell Tower, which is the most well-preserved and best-known one in China and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is one of the most famous Buddhist pagodas in China and initially built in 589.
Day 11: Xian - Shanghai (B+L) Take the morning flight to Shanghai, the largest and most prosperous metropolis in China and known as the "Paris of the East".Upon arrival, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. Having arrived at noon, you first freshen up at the hotel before taking some tours.Firstly, visit the Bund, where the great foreign commercial houses and banks built their imposing office buildings before 1930s,and then stroll along the Nanjing Road among the crowds.
Day 12: Shanghai (B+L) After breakfast, you will tour the elegant classic Chinese garden: the Yu Yuan Garden. Yu Yuan Garden has quite a few scenic courtyards dotted with baroque rockery, pools and flora, all connected by corridors and passageways and cultural relics. Then proceed to Oriental Pearl TV Tower. After lunch, you will take a walking tour of the old French Concession, the area of Shanghai once occupied by French in the mid-19th century.
Day 13: Shanghai - Guilin (B) The morning is left free for shopping. Take the afternoon flight to Guilin, which is famous for its breathtaking scenery, rivers and karst peaks covered in lush greenery.
Day 14: Guilin - Longsheng - Guilin (B+L) In the morning take a 2.5 hours to Longsheng County, which is famous for its natural beauty and the colorful ethnic Chinese cultures and customs.Upon arrival, you will visit Zhuang and Yao Minority tribes??villages and some families if you like and also enjoy the breathtaking terrace rice fields after getting to the summit of Longji (Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces). The total area of this scenic spot is 66 square kilometers with the altitudes vary between 300 meters and 1100 meters.Drive back to downtown city in the mid-afternoon.
Day 15: Guilin - Yangshuo (B+L) Enjoy a relaxing day of cruising on the scenic Li River. In the morning you will drive about 40 minutes to Zhujiang pier to start the Li River cruise. Along the river, you will be inspired by the picturesque mountains, peaceful green fields, crystal-clear water, lush bamboos and villages with water buffalos. The boat arrives at Yangshuo-a beautiful and quaint ancient town with one thousand years' old in the afternoon, Take a short walk along the West Street before checking in the hotel in Yangshuo.
Day 16: Yangshuo - Hong Kong (B+L) In the morning, you take bicycle along the countryside with rice paddies to visit the Ancient Banyan Tree Park and the Moon Hill. In the late afternoon, we will be transferred back to the airport straightly to Hong Kong, one of the world's most dramatic harbors.Upon arrival, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.
Day 17: Hong Kong (B) Have a city tour of one of Hong Kong's leading tour destinations: Victoria Peak. On top of the peak, you will get a breathtaking views of Victoria Harbor and the whole city as well.Then proceed to Aberdeen, the largest town located in Hong Kong Island. Finally take a short drive to Repulse Bay, which is the most famous beach of having the highest representative characteristics in Hong Kong by its long and wide beach, clean water, calm tide and gentle wave.
Day 18: Hong Kong - TBA (B) The tour guide will transfer you to the airport and help you board the plane to your sweet home with unforgettable memories. |
